About Micheal

Micheal Collins has been with Visit Nebraska since 2000 and since then has worked on a number of programs for the agency, including planning the annual Nebraska Tourism Conference and offering planning and technical assistance to communities on their local and regional tourism projects and programs. He currently oversees Visit Nebraska’s group travel program where he creates sample itineraries to promote to group tour operators across the country and Canada and the Nebraska travel counselor program where he hires seasonal staff to work in tourism information centers, such as Interstate 80 rest areas. He recently took on the responsibility of overseeing the state’s scenic byway program and has been working to build awareness of Nebraska’s nine state and national scenic and historic byways. Originally from Tennessee, Micheal has called Nebraska home since 1997 when he moved to Scottsbluff. Since then he had enjoyed exploring practically every highway and byway of this amazing state.
