About Kirk
Kirk, also known as “BBQ Kirk,” graduated from the University of Texas – San Antonio with a degree in Business Administration. He spent a good portion of his career in regional management for Best Buy, as well as other retail stores including Cellular One and Lowe’s. He also spent time in the mortgage industry.
In 2013, he and his wife Erin purchased Fat Boy Hickman’s BBQ. They have expanded their line of BBQ rubs and sauces to sell in grocery stores in 42 states across the United States.
In his spare time Kirk enjoys time with his family and two sons, coaching Trap for Pius X high school, hunting, traveling, and competing in steak competitions.
